The LRMTA Annual Members Meeting and Luncheon was held LIVE at Butchers Hall, London on Monday 6th September 2021.

President Richard Douglas opened the meeting following refreshments by welcoming 25 members and guests at 11.30. After approval of the 2020 AGM minutes, Annual Accounts and Annual Report Richard Douglas, proprietor of Carnivore Foods (Sidcup-Bromley) in Kent retaining the presidency for a third term moved onto other business.

The President with AJ Luckhurst (Immediate Past President) Paul Hambling (Honorary Treasurer) Dave Marshall (Asst Hon Treasurer) were re-elected onto the Central Council and Finance and Management Committees with Robin Dear, Peter Godfrey, Alan Jennings, Gerald Paine and Jim Sperring.

AFCL Ltd were approved as LRMTA accountants but due to the bereavement of Harry Berry, Frank Gray and Albert Hambling there were no elected Vice Presidents.

Honorary Vice Presidents conferred on principals of organisations associated with the London meat trade were confirmed as: Keith Fisher (CEO - Institute of Meat) Ian Kelly (Chairman - BDCI) Gregory Lawrence (Chair - Smithfield Market Tenants) Andrew Parker (Master - Worshipful Company of Butchers) Mark Sherlock (Superintendant - Smithfield Market) and Marcus Walker (Rector - St Bartholomew the Great).

There was a short address from Suffolk based butcher George Debman, President of National Craft Butchers attending with his wife Carol.

Following formalities, members and guests enjoyed a tour that included roof terrace views of the recently £11m refurbished Hall before a drinks reception and lunch with wines starting with Heritage Tomato and Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese followed by Roasted Guinea Fowl, Parmentier Potatoes and Purple Sprouting Broccoli for mains and a dessert of Chocolate Boite with Raspberry Coulis before finishing with coffee, toasts and speeches, on what was a most enjoyable day at 3.00 pm.
